As an independent local charity we rely heavily on the support of local individuals, companies and trusts to enable us to raise the funds necessary to survive. Last year we had to raise £1.3 million just to keep delivering our current levels of service - that equates to £5,000 each working day! Here are just a few ways in which you can support us…

Each year, those few pence or pounds that you give to a local charity like Age Concern Rotherham, through collection boxes, whether in the street or in a shop or pub, help generate thousands of pounds without you even realizing.
There's now a new and easy way for you to help us raise funds for Age Concern Rotherham - simply by shopping online!

In Store Collection
We have a number of collections already booked for this following year. If you would like to spare, even an hour to participate by collecting, then please contact us via the volunteer page. Most people who have taken part in these collections find them to be very enjoyable and a good way to meet new people.

Alternatively you may work for a company that wishes to let us hold a collection in its store in which case please contact us. Please click on this link for a full list of street collection guidelines.
Do you work for an organization or go to a pub or club that would like to have an Age Concern collection box? If so please contact us. You would not be responsible for handling any money raised and a chain could be fitted to make the box more secure if necessary. All supporters receive a 'thank you' certificate which they can display.

Leaving money to charity in your will allows you to go on helping others after your death.

Donated Goods
We no longer have a charity shop in Rotherham but still have a need for your good quality used and unused items (unfortunately no large or bulky items like furniture) for the following:
Raffle and other prizes
We run regular events throughout the year at which raffles are held to help generate income. If you have any unwanted, unused items, ranging from toiletries to white goods, please contact us; we will always endeavor to collect items from people's homes.
Bric-a-Brac
We run a number of events throughout the year at which we sell good quality bric-a-brac so please let us have any suitable items or pop along to see whether you would like to pick up a bargain.
